Weekly Outlook: Oct 16 - Oct 20
Monday
Asia: China’s consumer price index and producer price index for September will be available as of 01:30 GMT, with a 1.6 percent and 6.3 percent build eyed. In Japan, industrial production figures for August will be released at 04:30 GMT.
Europe: the Eurozone trade balance for August is due at 09:00 GMT.
United States: the New York Empire State Manufacturing Index for October will be at 12:30 GMT, with consensus pointing at a 20.75 reading.
Tuesday
Europe: UK’s consumer price index for September is scheduled at 08:30 GMT, with a 2.8 percent increase eyed on yearly basis. The producer price index input for September is expected to show at a 1.3 percent growth. Germany’s ZEW current conditions and economic sentiment for October are prepared at 09:00 GMT. Eurozone’s CPI is set for release at 10:00 GMT.
United States: the export/import price indexes for September will come at 12:30 GMT, followed by industrial production figures at 13:15 GMT and TIC Net Long-Term transactions at 20:00 GMT.
Wednesday
Europe: UK’s average earnings index for August are set for publishing at 08:30 GMT, together with claimant count change for September and the unemployment rate, seen at 4.4 percent.
United States: building permits and housing starts for September are due at 12:30 GMT. The US Energy Information Administration will present its weekly inventory report as of 14:30 GMT.
Asia: Japan’s trade balance for September will be out at 23:50 GMT, with a 94 billion yen surplus estimated by economists.
Thursday
Asia: China’s fixed asset investment for September, third-quarter gross domestic product and industrial production are expected to hit markets by 02:00 GMT.
Europe: UK’s retail sales for September are seen rising 1.1 percent in September. The report will be available at 08:30 GMT.
Friday
Europe: Germany’s producer price index for September is due at 06:00 GMT.
United States: existing home sales for September will be out at 14:00 GMT.
