What’s next? – DAX 01.08.17

The DAX futures traded 0.42 percent lower at 12,088.5 points as of 06:15 GMT on Tuesday, with German manufacturing and employment data in focus.

The German manufacturing PMI for July is set for release as of 07:55 GMT, with 58.3 eyed. The unemployment rate is also scheduled for that time and it’s seen at 5.7 percent.

Market players will also be paying attention to the core PCE price index and personal consumption for June as of 12:30 GMT. The Institute for Supply Management will be presenting its manufacturing PMI at 14:00 GMT, with a forecasted reading of 56.5.

The German benchmark ended the first session of this week at 12,118.25 in Frankfurt, easing 44.45 points or 0.37 percent, with media and utilities leading other sectors higher.

Among top performers, RWE AG added 1.74 percent to trade at 17.815 by the closing bell. Prosiebensa 1 AG was up 1.23 percent to 33.850 and E.ON SE rose 1.22 percent to 8.363.

To the downside, Deutsche Bank AG falling 2.08 percent to 15.090, followed by Thyssenkrupp AG sinking 1.30 percent to 25.085 and Volkswagen VZO down 1.29 percent to 130.10.
